The Navigators

Ngā Tohunga Whakatere - The Navigators is a planetarium film that tells the story of Māori, Pasifika, and European Navigation towards Aotearoa New Zealand, through the eyes of a budding navigator, Moko.

Moko travels through time and space, stepping into the world of her Pacific ancestors, Captain Cook, Abel Tasman, and onto the decks of their voyaging canoes. Viewers are taken on an unforgettable adventure and gain insight into traditional knowledge and practices that enabled these navigators to travel across the Pacific Ocean.
